This is a lucky country
This is a lucky country. You get paid for working. You get more pay for working harder and longer. If you are more lucky, you get mare pay for less work, or you get more pay for telling others to work. Well, you also get paid for not working because we have a great welfare system. You get paid for being old, and you also get paid for being sick or disable. If you are fifteen years old, and you disliked your parents, you get paid for running away from home. If you are trapped in a snow avalanche, or trapped underground in a mining shaft, and if you survived, you get paid heaps for telling your story.
This is a lucky country. You can always find someone or something to blame for your mistake or your misfortune. It you failed your school examination; you can blame your teachers, your school and the education system. If you committed a crime, you can blame on your family poor upbringing and the community where you live. If you met with a traffic accident, you can blame the other drivers or the traffic authority for not providing better and safer roads. You can also blame the car manufacturer for not making better and safer cars.
This is a lucky country. There is so much to eat until you are obese. You can then blame the local council for their lack of sporting facility to counter obesity. You can choose to eat, drink and sit around whole day watch TV until you fall sick. You can then blame the government for not providing proper health care.
This is a lucky country. There is so much freedom. In summer, you can choose to sun bake on the open beaches or you can choose to stay in doors and turn on the air conditioners. In winter, you can choose to chill out on the ski slopes or you can choose to stay warm by turning on the heater.
Finally, you can choose to drive around in big cars and you can also whinge about high petrol prices. You can critise the government yet expect the government to cater for your every need. This is indeed a lucky country.
