Motivation is the key

Over the last few months, my wife and I have spent considerable time planning for our long overseas holiday. We visited tour offices, studies those glossy tour brochures and eventually decided on what we want to do. So we book the air tickets, the accommodation and the tours.

This holiday will cause us considerably and needless to say, we are looking forward to enjoying ourselves. So I decided to spend sometime learning about the places we want to visit. When I am reading newspapers or magazines, I paid particular attention to those articles related to the places we are going to visit. I search the web and browse through pages of information and indulge myself in the cultures and celebration of the countries, their transport system, their weather, their history, their food, places of interest and many more. More interestingly, I have given myself an opportunity to view the many photos of the cities and villages, peoples, cultures, and many more. As a result I have gained a much better understanding of the geography of these countries and the way they live. The web is truly an amazing place providing all the information I needed.

If we have not planned for this holiday, I may not have gone this far to learn up all these information. The coming trip has provided me great incentive and motivation to improve my knowledge of the countries we intended to visit.

I can only say that motivation is a key factor in the learning process.
